Hello, BER Months 🍂There’s something about the “BER months” that makes me slow down just a little. September, October, November, December… they seem to carry a certain magic with them. The days begin to change, the light becomes softer, the air gets a little cooler, and suddenly we find ourselves craving all the things that make home feel warm, cozy, and inviting. For me, the BER months are a reminder that seasons aren't just something we experience outside—they can be brought indoors, too. And that’s exactly what I’ve been doing around here. Enter: Spiced Pumpkin One of my favorite ways to welcome fall is through scent. There’s just something about pumpkin spice that instantly says fall is here. It’s warm, comforting, familiar, and a little nostalgic. So I’m excited to officially introduce our Spiced Pumpkin Soap and Spiced Pumpkin Room Spray. The soap brings that cozy autumn feeling right into your daily routine, while the room spray is made to transform your space with the scent of fall. And let me tell you… this room spray has staying power. A few sprays can fill a room with that warm, spicy pumpkin aroma, making your home feel like autumn has settled in. It’s perfect for the kitchen, living room, bedroom, or wherever you want a little seasonal coziness. I love products that don't simply smell good—they create a feeling. That's what I hope these do. Fall Is Making Its Way Into Our Gifts While our soaps are available, I’m also incorporating a little more fall into our gift collections. Handmade gifts have always been one of my favorite things to create because they feel personal. Adding seasonal scents, textures, beads, tassels, and little touches of autumn makes them even more special this time of year. I’m imagining cozy mornings, thoughtful hostess gifts, birthdays, thank-yous, and those little “I saw this and thought of you” moments. Sometimes the simplest gift is the one people remember. And… Something New Is in the Works. I've also been working on something I've been wanting to create for quite some time. Manuka Honey All in One Skin Essential. I've been searching for that special ingredient that could make a new skincare essential feel truly worthwhile—and I kept coming back to Manuka Honey. So, naturally, I had to experiment. This rich, nourishing formula is being created with Manuka Honey, organic shea butter, cocoa butter, jojoba oil, with lavender and Roman chamomile essential oils. The goal? One beautiful little jar that can do a lot. Something nourishing for those places that need a little extra love, especially as the seasons change and cooler, drier weather begins to arrive. It’s still in the works, but I’m getting closer. Manuka Honey All in One is coming soon. A New Season at Lather & Loom I think that's what I love most about this time of year. It’s a season of transition. We’re leaving summer behind, bringing out the cozy things, changing up our scents, refreshing our gifts, and making room for new ideas. And around here, there are always new ideas. Some become products. Some become gifts. Some sit on my work table for awhile while I decide what they want to become. That's part of the fun of making things by hand. So here's to the BER months—to pumpkin spice, cozy homes, handmade treasures, nourishing skincare, and all the little things that make fall feel like fall. I hope you'll follow along as we move into this beautiful new season. There’s lots more to come. 🍂 Warmly, Jill Bittersweet Soap + Apothecary
